What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of data that a website stores in your browser. They can be used to remember preferences, maintain login state, or track behavior across websites. Related technologies include local storage and session storage, which we also use.
What we use
We use a minimal set of first-party storage for the following purposes:
- Local storage — email capture state. When you subscribe to our email list, we save a flag in your browser so we don't re-prompt you for your email on every visit.
- Local storage — UI preferences (if applicable). Some calculators may remember your last input values in local storage so you can return to the page and pick up where you left off. These values never leave your browser.
- Analytics cookie (if enabled). A privacy-respecting analytics service may place a first-party cookie to tell sessions apart. This cookie does not identify you personally and is not used for cross-site tracking.
What we don't use
- Third-party advertising cookies
- Retargeting pixels
- Social media tracking pixels
- Behavioral profile builders
Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- Block all cookies from all sites
- Block third-party cookies
- Delete existing cookies
- Clear local storage
Blocking cookies and local storage may reduce convenience (for example, the site may re-prompt for your email), but the calculators will still work.
